Compressive Strength Test
Getting into the compressive Strength Test an example when we compare both Clay Bricks vs Fly Ash has very good 3 times higher. The analysis of minimum compressive strength of both bricks are like this clay brick is 3.5 N/mm² and Fly ash bricks is 10-12 N/mm². Any Brick construction should have these minimum compression strengths then only they are qualified for use. Brick testing machine is used to test the compressive strengths
Water Absorbtion Test
Technically we have to do water absorbtion test. As a process we dip Fly ash brick in water it should not absorb more than 15%. This the process should go first select the bricks and the tested brick should be first dried in an over with a temperature of around 115 degrees Celsius and weight should be recorded. Once this process is done we need to dip brick in water and for one day and the water temperature to be maintained at around 25 degrees Celsius. The brick has to be removed after a day and immediately weighed to see the total percentage of water it absorbed.
This is another kind of test called as Efflorescene the process goes like this we will have to first choose a warm and well ventilated room below 30 degrees Celsius. Choose a dish and vertically immerse one end of the brick into water and the immersion depth should be 2.5cm. The brick starts absorbing the water and the left over water evaporates. Once this is done again place same amount of water in the dish and allow it to absorb and evaporate as done before. Once process is done we will see for white spots on the bricks surface and if the difference is observed sue to salt deposits then we call the brick as efflorescence.
Shubham Bricks QUALITY
As we think every quality check is common for manufacturers to check bricks quality. Many people come to conclusions by looking at the surface of the bricks its not right. The Main key criteria that has to be tested is compressive strength which can be done only through a brick testing machine. In our plant we have installed a brick testing machine where anyone can come to test the bricks and compression strength. We at Shubham Bricks also invite to bring other suppliers bricks and test for free. This way the consumer can be sure of the brick quality and take home a premier Fly ash brick that lasts for upcoming generations.
